So, I was curious. I know that all eligible voters dont actually go out and vote, and I am doing a speech on why all eligible voters should vote. Anyone got any ideas besides personal gain?

I actually believe that NOT voting should count as a vote. If a candidate gets less than 50.1% of the total number of ELIGIBLE, he/she should not be counted as the winner. But why should we reward people who are too lazy to vote you say? Perhaps they are not voting because they are lazy, as politician and commentators would have us believe, but rather that the candidates are pathetic.

Can you really believe that Richard Nixon, Hubert Humphrey, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, George H.W, Bush, Walter Mondale,Bill Clinton, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, Al Gore, or John Kerry are the BEST candidates for anything?
