Can i use my ipod as a extrenal drive?

How can i use my ipod 40 Gb as an external hard drive?? is there any software which will help me do so? or do I have to change its format to NTFS?? Please help....

In iTunes go to your iPod summary and click the check box labeled "Enable disk use".
