I feel sorry for those who lost loved ones...but it seems as if we have turned it into a facade. "Support out troops" on the back of every car....more like support the people who made these stickers! Every other country song is dedicated to the war simply for profit.

what you're talking about is not "getting over" 9/11, but rather to stop exploiting it for political purposes. in that case, i agree with you entirely. when a country goes through a crisis like 9/11 you really see what the people are made out of, and unfortunately, in this case, we see a lot of closet fascists coming out of the woodwork.

Ignoring history is to repeat it.

This is not WWI or WWII, although we should never forget the latter, at least the way it occurred.

9/11 was the beginning of the "present and the foreseeable" future battles to come.

Yes, money is always garnered by wars, but, you have a choice whether to buy or listen to any commercial marketing.

You'd better remember 9/11.

Even if you may not be eligible for service, you may have children or grandchildren who will be. Those fighting now are giving their lives to possibly prevent that.

YOU and I are/have been enjoying our life style because of the sacrifices of past wars. That is being attacked as I write this and you read it.

If you think this is a "facade", think again. Will the next 9/11 change your mind?
We have heard promises of another, not threats, but "promises".

9/11 changed the course of history as we know it and there is no way the world will get over it. Ignore the people who are exploiting the tragedy for their own gain and keep a special place in your heart for those who died there and those who will suffer with the after affect for the rest of their lives.

You can get over it if you wish, but I think we should remember our American brothers and sisters who had their lives shortened so abruptly just like we remember Pearl Harbor day. People who were not actually there (including myself) can only imagine the totality of that day and ones to follow. We as Americans will have additional strikes like this in the future. Hopefully they won't be as severe, but we need to vigilant. Remembering these innocent people who lost their lives is a good way to do that. Yes, I think you are wrong to think the way you do, but you also have the right to feel that way - you are an American. Please act like one.

No we shouldn't get over it. What we should do is stop supporting the people that do exploit it for profit. And we should ALWAYS support our troops that put their lives on the line for us and our future.

i think you are wrong, especially with all the back pedaling the government has done to cover up this corrupt scheme.
As a matter of fact, people should actually research what happened on that day, and study the government knew prior to 9/11 about an imminent attack on the US, and there are many other discrepencies to this story that you and alot of other people are not aware of.

You aren't wrong to ask it, but we'd be wrong to listen.

The commercialization of this tragedy is the worst sort of getting-over-it that there is.

I saw the Pentagon in flames that day. I wondered which of my friends weren't going to make it out.

Soon after, I did bedside legal work in Intensive Care for a Pentagon worker who couldn't sign her power of attorney because her fingers were burned off. She was unrecognizable.

I'm sure as hell not going to get over it. You shouldn't either.

YOU HAVE THAT ALL WRONG...
THAT MEAN THOSE WHO ARE OFF TO WAR NOW... DUH IT DIDN'T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO GET THAT ONE.......
AND IF YOU WOULD USE SOME OF THAT ENERGY YOU GOT TO FORGET THEM AND GO....... YOU WOULD BE OVER THERE ON THE FRONT LINE AND FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY AS WELL.......

ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE BECAUSE A LOT OF INNOCENT PEOPLE WAS KILLED...WHICH WAS SOMEONES HUSBAND WIFE, SISTER, CHILD OR BROTHER WHICH WAS LOVED DEARLY.....IT WILL BE NEVER FORGOTTEN... SO REGROUP AND COME AGAIN ON HOW CAN YOU MAKE IT BETTER......SEND THOSE TROOP A THANK YOU NOTE/BATTERIES ETC, TO LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE STILL APPRECIATED AND CONTINUE TO SEND PRAYER FOR A SAFE TRIP HOME CAN YOU DO THAT? IF NOT FOR YOURSELF FOR THEM...

Maybe because I live so close to NYC it still really hits home to me. I personally won't be able to forget and I don't want to forget either.
