Yep sure did. And I'll do you one better. I don't usually read his stuff because my name is Stephen King (no joke). It's kind of weird but he started the Dark tower series the year I was born (1977) and man I loved that series.

at the same time as there are Stephen King novels which tie into his darkish Tower series, you fairly do not want to study them before or so as. darkish Tower stands on this is own, and numerous the thoughts that tie into it were written before or for the duration of its creation. for example, The Stand. you've probable study it, yet do not want to have study it...it only promises an more desirable layer of documents. one ingredient i'd propose although, is ask your self's darkish Tower comics. the first series referred to as 'The Gunslinger Born' adapts textile from 'Wizard and Glass', the fourth e book in the series. some thing of the ask your self series is in accordance with bits stated or alluded to in darkish Tower, yet under no circumstances completely fleshed out. With King's cooperation, this series tells of the autumn of Gilead and how Roland got here to be chasing the guy in Black on the starting up of 'The Gunslinger'.

Overall a good series, wizard and glass was the weakest book.
Wasn't entirely happy with the ending but haven't figured out a better way he could have done it.
Have read all the books several times and will read again.

I loved this series of books and i'd recommend them. though i read them a bit fast, wishing i'd spent more time over it. This was exactly what i like to read, it was clever and kept you thinking, a true epic.
When i finished i went out and bought salem's lot so i could read some more stephen king.

I read them last summer, after the first two mysteriously appeared in my house (still no clue how they got there). I furiously devoured the entire series in two weeks and had a bit of trouble adjusting back to reality, hee...the first book is my favorite; I love the fractured, poetic structure.

Yes, and found the books entertaining and cleverly written, but detested the way he brought himself in as a character (and about the weakest and least realistic in the series).

I have and I loved it. It took forever to find all of them but they were very hard to put down when I started.
