I want to know a website or some other resource that has a list of some guidelines for writing genres, like fiction or mystery.
For example, I want to know if there are any guidelines as to what the plot for a mystery novel would be like.

Writer's Digest is a magazine and also sells books on this topic.
I don't know if they have a website.
