So dull and uninspired.... Is it the maker or the wearer that puts the block on style for men?

I am no expert in this field but I have noticed that most designers seem to spend all there time designing clothes for women. Also when I look in the clothes shops 90% of the selection is for women.
I would personally blame the makers because the only clothes they make which look good on men are suits.

Mens clothes are extremely DULL!
business suits & shirt and tie, t shirts, jeans or awful nylon sportswear and trainers is about as far as it goes.
yet in centuries past men could outdress women in terms of style and panache, why is it so dull now??
modern mens fashion is ugly and far too unimaginative.

Because people have deeply rooted misogyny, heterosexism, and cissexism that causes them to lash out with anger and hatred any time they see a 'feminine' male. It probably upsets them because they are too stupid and sexually frustrated to admit that they are turned on by such. It doesn't help that women are also this way and want men to be their ideal 'masculine, hard-working, footstools in shining armor'.

In my opinion we are fashioned by an ever increading band of Gay/Transvestite designers you have no sense of masculinity and therefore are unable to provide rugged yet sexy alternative wear for the modern man.
I agree that the male dress is incredibly boring just look at your local retialers they are all the same, strippey shirts, jeans, jeans and more jeans.
The unfortunate thing is that I can see no end to this drab trend.

Because you are a Woman ..and you are all never happy with what us Men wear... My wife treats me like a Mannequin some times.... it takes her longer to get me dressed than it does her..so that is a long time..It must be that we look better in the Buff ..

Because nature made men complete as we are. We don't need fancy clothes to get the opposite sex, we got hormones!

it probably has to do with the fact that women can wear just about anything (or just about nothing too) and look good, where men don't have that luxury.
Men don't have mini skirts.......
they have shorts (and hopefully not too short)
men have tank tops, women have tube tops, t-shirts etc
men wear suits, and women have night gowns that come in all sorts of varieties from see through to strap less to back less to.....etc etc.....

Try maxi dresses with the side slits those can look great on you! No matter whether you have long legs or not simply strut that skirt

due to ideology, women are expected to be the "decorated" sex. That's why we not only have more clothes to choose from, but makeup, hairstyles, jewellery. Historically our worth is based on how we look.
