I think that the shrinks are right in saying that women lie to protect others from getting hurt (emotionally). I am no exception in this regard.When I know that the truth could blow things over (in a bad way)... I don't tell the truth. Under normal circumstances, I usually stick to white lies in order to get out of engagements that I am not particularly pleased with.I try to avoid lies whenever I can.

I have to lie at work, so I do so relatively often, I never lie to my friends, have to lie to my mum some times (about stupid details) and I have lied to boyfriends in the past...

Far too often...I need to stop, it's not healthy for anyone...I lie to get myself out of something wrong I've done...but I also lie in order to keep the peace with others(which stresses me out)
