How do you view this profession?

nothing Else in the world i would rather do. I get paid to drive around a big truck and listen to the radio. My inner child get to play and i make money at it, ho what a life.

I think it's deteriorated to the state of not ever wanting to touch one again! With deregulation came the corporate scum that "lowered wages" for the "hard" working man while giving themselves "huge" increases because they think only "college" educated are deserving of the "BIG PAYCHECK"! With that mentality I say let them get their groceries, clothes, shoes, furniture and all the rest of what truckers move on a daily basis the best way they know how! Then let them "lower" the working mans wages so they can live like kings!!! LEAVE IT PARKED!!

i respect it...my dads a truck driver and i ride with him occasionally, theres a lot of comradery between most of the drivers its kinda cool

Been driving these junks since 1960.I like it enough to be still at it , but the regs , traffic and low pay make me wonder.
