is there any place to get a wii right now with out paying over 250 + tax?

i really need a wii NOW!!! will there be any at toys r us perhaps? if it is advertided in the sunday paper what time should i get there to wait? would like 8:00 be sufficiant or eariler

probably not, and if they do there will be 40 ppl to every wii. why don't you just wait untill after christmas and avoid the headaches? or you could pay a lot more than it's worth and buy it off e-bay. Personally, I'll wait untill the spring, I'd hate getting a new system that had a lot of "glitches" and had to be returned for repair. That's happened with other systems when they first come out.
I don't know if this is really an answer... sorry.

Highly doubt it but give them a call and see what the deal is. If no, you can always put a hold on one. It's like $20 towards the cost. Then you can give the person a Christmas Card that says, "It's gonna be late due to Nintendo's imcompitance, but I got you a Wii" lol

Not sure, but you might wanna check this out. WII is considering making a safety net, because of the large number of people that have mistakenly let go of the remote...and it flew into & broke their tv,
