I found this to be a great guideline in my life! Another great guideline I use is from the Dali Lama:
Always practice the three R's...
Respect for Self;
Respect for others;
Responsibility for one's own actions.

Jesus Christ's sermon on the mount which include:
1. 'Do unto others what you would like others will do unto you'
2. Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the children of God.
