my wife's having a very long period. why?

hi,
i just got married with the girl i love so much. last time when i was having sex with her, she was having her period at that time. we got excited and didnt stop. her periods usually finish after 7 days. but this time its taking too long. Now, its been more than 3 weeks and the period not stopped yet!! Both of us had no information on this matter at all. Does it happened because we had sex when it was her period time running? Is it normal or i have to contact any doctor? Please help me. I am so worried about her.Thanks

It's not normal go to the doctor NOW. Emergency!
