I know for a fact that warts respond to "magic" as long as the patient is inclined to believe in it. It's also clinically proven that shingles are another disease that can be "magicked" away.
You dont need any accident of birth, just the belief of your patient.
A proper ritual can help a lot there.
So no, I don't believe in the seventh son of the seventh son thing, why would it be restricted to males?
By the way, I'm Irish too, do you think it has anything to do with it?

I don't know about curing things, but I believe the 7th son of a 7th son is very gifted at predicting things for the future.

When I was young I had warts. Nothing made them go away. Finally, my mother prayed for me to get rid of the warts and they have been gone for 30 years.
Recently, I was stressed and had something on my finger that looked like a wart. I was so disgusted, I couldn't make my meatballs with that nasty on my finger.
I began looking up treatments on line and none looked like they worked. I cried and cried. I told my husband about my mother praying for me so many years ago (she is dead now 14 years).
The next day the thing fell off and it healed with no wart. How do you explain that? Weird, maybe prayers do work. I don't know.

No. I forget the actual significance of the number 7 but that is significant. 8 is not as significant as either 7 or 9 (which is three trinities) and that may be fortunate as 4 is a death number so one might assume any significance 8 had would not be good.

I believe "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" is a cracking good song by Rory Gallagher. You, however, sound like a fool.
