Bores me to death that movie - although she does look very chic in it.

The dress was given to the City of Joy charity in Calcutta, India which has been improving the literacy and numeracy skills of thousands of women in nearby villages. The Givenchy classic was given to the charity as a gift and has just been sold at auction for £467,000 to an anonymous buyer.

They took it to Jefferson's Dry Cleaning in Brooklyn and it got ruined. Weezee ended up going over to Audrey's pad on 5th Ave. to apologize and then gave her a cheque to replace it. George ended up going over and ripping the cheque out of Audrey's hand because he said it wasn't his fault, the dress shouldn't have been left for dry cleaning. Somehow this started a spin-off sitcom called 'Rhoda'.
I think it starred Nancy Walker.

I got pipped at the post! but the jewellery worn in the film, would fit me perfectly, so now you know what to buy me for the festivities!
