I think they are unflattering and look kind of silly on women. Any thoughts?

From initial answers, I learned these are called "Wellies" (thanks to those who told me)

It depends on the look you're going for .
If you're trying to look sophisticated, forget about it, you will look silly, especially if you re dressed sophisticated except for the boots.
If you're trying to look fun and funky then what better than patterned rubber boots? I'd love a pair. they'd look great with some cool coloured tights, and a jean mini.
Anything will look silly if you don't wear it with stuff it goes with. And if you take yourself to seriously to wear those boots then hey, don't buy a pair, but the people who want to have a little fun, don't get down on them.

I like them if you are talking about Wellies, although some of them do look silly. And at almost $100 a pair shipped from the UK they are too expensive.
