I have just finished reading the rest of the series but I won't have a chance to read this book for a while, so I was hoping that someone can tell me what happens. What I really want to know is, is she really pregnant and if so who is the father?
Also, I have heard that this book is not that great b/c there is no plot and it is just more sex scenes like the last 4 books have had and no one gets killed.

lots of sex scenes?- yes
Anita pregnant?- no

It's not the best book, but I still read it because I'm a fan of the series.

This just isn't worth buying. There's not really any plot, nothing even resembling vampire hunting, no crime, no death. It's pretty much a loosely collected series of sexcapades.

The later books in this series are really disappointing. They're almost formulaic - a lot of talking/hand-holding to deal with everyone's emotional problems, having sex a half dozen times to feed the ardeur, nearly killing damien due to lack of energy, a few more "feedings," then a hurry to wrap up what little plot there may be (and, with this book, there's less than ever before). It seems like there should be two serieses. Guilty Pleasures through Obsidian Butterfly should be together, called Anita Black Vampire Hunter. Then, from Narcissus In Chains on it should be a new series called Anita Does St. Louis or something.

If you like horror/fantasy, crime solving, mysteries, or the like do not buy this book, because you won't find that here. If you like sex stories, do not buy this book because the sex scenes are dull, uninspired, and just generally lacking.
