in a dream i had i was given a coy fish pendant...it was bronze colored and had behind the gills a japaneese village near the water with the tail of the coy fish wrapped around the base...the guy in my dream that gave it to me said it was for luck....dunno what it really means ...i am an artist so i think i might paint what i saw....i dunno any suggestions

It sounds like you are being encouraged into a transformation that will only end up benefitting you. The fact that it was a pendant, and very intricately carved (from your description), implies that it is something you can both hold onto and let go when you no longer need it (you can put a pendant on or take it off). Perhaps the artistry suggests the transformation is happening to your artistic side; as you swim towards your artistic goals, you are working towards becoming an artistic 'dragon', strong and confident in oneself.
This is simply one possible interpretation.

actually given you something of power on a spiritual
level. Painting it might help bring the power into
your reality. Go for it!
