You can't see the Sun at night because it IS night. If you could see the Sun it would be daytime, right? The Sun causes the days to occur and its absence causes the night to occur. The Moon is on a different schedule and its primary function is exerting forces on our tides, which seems to be just fine with the Earth.

Hello,
The answer is pretty straight forwards actually, the moon can be seen in the daylight becuase the moon is still above the horizon. You will always find that the sun & moon are on opposite sides of the sky though.
The moon is only visable by the reflected light of the sun. So for the moon to be visable in the day time its all too do with the actual position or relationship of the moon & the earth in space.
**The reason the sun isnt visable during the night times is because its below the horizon, its light is physically blocked by the position of the earth itself.
**These questions are FAR easier to answer with diagrams & harder to answer in words.
**There is really no need to be upset by these things, these are just natural & astronomical facts, its just how the earth, moon & sun relate to each other. And have related to each other for millions of years.

It's kinda hard to explain in writing. The earth orbits the sun and is rotating on it's axis at the same time. This causes the day and night. The moon orbits the earth. So, at times the moon is in a position around the earth during the day.

Because by definition night is when the Sun is not in the sky. It is just how we made up the meaning of the word "night". It means the time when the Sun is not in the sky. We never made up a word that means "when the Moon is not in the sky", because that isn't nearly as important to us. And since the Moon and Sun appear to move around the sky at different speeds, sometimes they are both up at the same time and sometimes they aren't. So it isn't even an astronomy question; it is a language and meaning of words question.

The moon could be seen sometimes during day time because it is revolving round the earth whereas we could not see the sun during night because the earth is revolving round the sun

When the sun is in the sky its day (oh my god!!!) and when it isn't its night (unbelievable). The moon orbits the earth and its phases are controlled by direct sunlight from the sun so you can see it when the sun is reflecting off it. So therefore it can be seen during the day as well as the night. We orbit the sun the moon orbits us, they are not related beyond the force of gravity.
OK!!!!

cause the moon only circles the Earth, not the same as the Earth circling the Sun and may be due to the long day and short night

The sun is our source of daylight. When we're facing away from it, it's night time, (unless you can see through 65,000km of solid earth, you won't see the sun at night). The moon simply reflects the sun's light so you can see the moon whenever you're facing it be that daytime or night time.
Cheers.

The moon does possess any light, it reflects light from the sun. Therefore, until the moon sets it can still reflect light from the sun and be visible from earth.
Hope that answers your question
