Recall that the formula of a line in slope-intercept form is
y = mx + b
where m = slope and b = y-intercept.
Also recall that slope is calculated with the following formula
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
This is the main formula we're going to use to find the linear equation.
We're given the slope (-1), and now, we treat the slope formula as (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) being (-3,2) and (x,y) respectively
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
Plugging in the values for everything,
-1 = (y - 2)/(x - (-3))
-1 = (y - 2)/(x + 3)
Multiplying both sides by (x+3) to get rid of the fraction, we get
(-1)(x + 3) = y - 2
Expanding the left hand side,
-x + 3 = y - 2
And then adding two to both sides, we get
-x + 5 = y, or
y = -x + 5
Which is now the equation of the line satisfying that condition. Note that the slope of the line is the coefficient of x, which is -1. Also, it goes through the point (-3,2), since, if we plug in x = -3, we get y = -3 + 5 = 2, which is the y-coordinate.

Being a linear function, it will have the equation y=mx+b b, the y=intercept, occurs at f(0), which is 2. m is your slope which = -2/3, so f(x)= -2/3x+2

The general form of a linear equation is
y = m*x + n.
m is the slope (in your case you know that it is -1).
What you still need is n (the intersection with the y axis). To get this, simply insert all the known values in the equation above:
2 = (-3) * (-1) + n and resolve for n.
If the slope (m) is not given, you can calculate it from the difference of two points.
P1 (x1, y1)
P2 (x2, y2)
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

you need to have an xy axis graph. If you have to points that you can find(starting with -3,2), then draw a line through the 2 points and all the other points will be found on the line. Remember to always start with respect to the x axis, even if it is an integer(first number of the 2) and remember that 0,0 is common ground.

u have one point of line (-3,2) and one slope -1
so,
u should take one point formula
that is
(y-y1)=m(x-x1)
(x1,y1) are the point and m is the slope
so substituting in the formula u'l get
(y-2)= (-1)(x+3)
y-2 = -x - 3 (seperate the number and alphabets..)
x+y = -1
so the above is the required equation of the line.

the formula for this equation is:
y-y1=m(x-x1) where
(-3,2)=x1,y1
and m(slope)=-1
plug in the points.
y-2=-1(x-(-3))
y-2=-x-3(bring all x's and y's to one side)
x+y+1=0
hope you understand!

The equation is in the form y=mx+b:
2= -1(-3)+b
b = 2 - 3
b = -1
The equation is y= -x-1
