Hi friends ! what is the basic purpose and scope for MBA in Insurance and Risk Management. Also, what all institutes are offering this course in Delhi and NCR region? Can this be done through correspondence?

Sure there are plenty of opportunities as so many competitors are there in insurance sectros...... since last few yrs the trends of this sector employment are growing at high rate.
As far as concerns with institutes dont know abut NCR region but by correspondence please check NMIMS or Symbosis website. I think if you want to do by Distance mode then chosse among above stated reputed institutes only......

Scope for any profession is good as long as you are good at it ;) The question is not if MBA is good for you. Step back and ask what is good for you ! MBA is good. World needs lot of good managers. and the need will always be there ! so there is no doubt about "scope" of MBA ! ITs pretty good. But will you be able to do MBA in a good place and be a good manager ? IF you cant , what is that you can do well ? Find that !

As the insurance industry is opening up & the mututal fund , banks are venturing into new pastures this particular sector will be gaining significance . So if you are an mba in this field definitely your chance are bright . Regarding doing this course through correspondence my advise is try doing it under regular stream only & preferably from any IIM .As regards colleges offering this course type mba in insurance at yahoo search you get links take your pick .Similarly do for mba risk management.
