it could be several things. With your history, a dormant and recurring urinary tract infection is still a good bet. You should know that these infections become more stubborn the more they recur. Even when off treatment, you should have periodic urinanalyses run to check on the real possibility of asymptomatic infections.

I get the impression that these pains are brief, acute, and recurrant. This is pure speculation, but it suggests other than colitis or some form of chronic inflammatory disease. In all events, please have this investigated until it is resolved. In particular, with a history of ovarian cysts, it would be very safe to have periodic pelvic ultrasounds done. Here's why: I just burried my sister this past week. She had ovarian cancer. This tumor type is almost impossible to detect in the early stage unless you look for it; and by the time it _is_ diagnosed because of symptoms, it is almost invariably too late. The flip side of this story is--that with early detection and careful removal of the cystic tumor, one can have a complete cure. It's an all-or-nothing disease, I'm afraid.

Bottom line--have this diagnosed and treated, period. Don't stop until you're satisfied.

I had the sharp pain on my right side for months but ignored it because once i got up everything was fine after a while. I didn't know this at the time but when they opened me up for my spinal surgery they found this my ovary was the size of a baseball it had a dermoid cyst that took over the ovary these cyst are rapidly growing cysts they actually have hair and teeth on them they are 99 times benign. I am not pulling your leg you can look up dermoid cysts and see them for your self they did remove to ovary so every time I get pains on The left side I keep thinking oh know. The funny thing is I told my husband just think that thing was in there and it could have bit you! He told me I was sick but I got a good laugh out of it. when I told my mother in law what the doctor told me about the hair and teeth she said I was lying I was just high from the morphine I told her to ask her son if she thinks I am crazy. he told her that is what the doctors told him.

I was thinking cysts As,I've had alot of them and 3-surgeries due to them. But,it could also possibly be Endometriosis your appendix(if it hasn't been taken out yet. But,Surely it has to do with your female organs.I'd say go back to a good doctor and get it checked out.

This is a touchy subject sweetie and you know your going to need a professional opinion like today, right? But for suggestions, it might be appendicitis or a return of a prior illness you mentioned. Please get checked out and I wish y ou the best. Good Luck honey!!!
