When you're comfortable.
When you were released from the hospital this should have been answered...if it wasn't...the answer I have heard is...when you are comfortable.

you are not suppose to have intercourse until after your 6 week check up! tell your husband/boyfriend to go take a long shower and take care of things How could you even think of sex 2 weeks after having the baby? I had a c-section also even though you did not deliver vaginally your uterus is still shrinking back. If you don't wait you may also be surprised when your told your pregnant at your next checkup! But 6 weeks is your answer.

sure, you ought to have waited longer. A record supplies particular orders of no sex for 6 weeks noticeably with a c-section because it really is a significant surgical procedure. I had a c-section 2 weeks in the past and that i visit attend the completed 6 weeks. Mommy to 16 day previous Mackenzie Lynn

Actually the puerperium(the rejuvenating period) lasts for 6weeks post delivery, at this time the body reverts back to its prepregnancy state. The vaginal discharge changes from blood to yellowish fluid then to whitish fluid in this time. The uterine scar gets healed up a bit, so better wait for 6 weeks post partum for commencing sex. One bit more advice use birth control by condoms or progesterone only pills.

You can physically have intercourse when you feel ready, however most doctors recommend waiting at least 6 weeks, due to complications that can develop.
When in doubt consult your doctors!
