Shes not a comedian, shes not funny and all the crap material she blurts out on her show is written for her? I just cant see how she is eligible????
Shes is a great singer though....but not a comedian!

Henry L - its not just me that thinks she is ineligible for a comedy award. Obviously people voted for her but im ASKING how can that be! Try being a bit creative!!!!

i completely agree. i watched the first episode of her show and thought it was utter cr*p - embarassingly so and haven't watched it since. can't believe she was even nominated.

With these award shows you have to remember that someone voted for here. I'm never seen the British Comedy awards but the awards are either voted upon by either the people within the category (comedians vote for comedians), the public, or both.
Someone voted for her... so just because you personally might think of her otherwise. There are obviously others with influence who chose otherwise.

We had this debate last night as well. I totally see your point, I personally don't find her funny at all, fair enough if she had written her own stuff or was in some way comical but she isn't. I feel sorry for the other women in the category. Mind you I don't think the other two write their own material but they are a lot better at acting. Your right though cracking singer

She's a multimillionairess.... got a good PR agent (she's never out the news or magazines) - she's not dumb but not a comedian like you say either. That said, she held her own when I saw her on Have I Got News For You, a few years ago.

I totally agree. I don't find her funny at all she can sing as you said but laughability don't think so! I think some of these awards are fixed to get extra ratings for her new show. I don't know it just seems silly to me! Stick to singing Charlotte!

You only have to watch the programme for 5 mins to know its a complete farce... farce.. comedy ... geddit :O)

I thought her chat show was absolutely cr@p!!!
I tuned in once to see what all the hype was about and found people laughing...either that or it was canned laughter...
So I joined in and laughed too......AT her...not WITH her or the audience!!
However.....Fantastic voice, which I'm eternally envious of.

She's not...all the sh**e they write for her just isnt funny. seems to me its just a matter of keeping her face on the tele so they can all oggle her curvy figure.... an im all for that
