Since the dawn of time, prostitution has existed. Its an old saying but its described as the oldest profession in the world. Surely if we de-criminalised prostetution then this would make it a cleaner, safer enviroment for those working in the sex industry.

If well regulated it would help to minimise the criminal element of it, stop trafficking of young girls, the drug element etc.

Could we not use the resources used to prosecute these women to help them away from prostitution? Why not just prosecute the men that use prostitutes, after all, if there wasn't a demand?

i think we should have decriminalised prostitution years ago.in a modern democratic country brothels should be legalised and have a set of health and hygiene standards set by the local council. i think there is no doubt that many of the sex crimes comitted would decrease as a result of legalisation. and maybe those horrific killings in ipswich may not have happened.

We should decriminalise prostitution only after we have made it a criminal offence to use the services of one
