How can I change the settings(Internet options) of Internet explorer from my webpage?

I want to change the option for printing, to make it able to print the backgrounds on the webpage, using javascript or Asp.Net ?

its very simple.. follow these instructions:

By default, Internet Explorer will always try select the optimum size of a webpage to fit the width of the printed page. This might require the page to be scaled down in size. Internet Explorer also reduces the size of a page slightly if a single line of text (sometimes called an orphan) would print on its own page. You can use Print Preview to see how a printed webpage will look and to adjust page orientation, scaling, and margins.

To preview how a page will look when it is printed

Open Internet Explorer and to go the page you want to print.
Click the arrow to the right of the Print button, and then click Print Preview.


Also, use these options while printing - this should solve your issue.
To print this - Type this
Window title - &w
Page address (URL) - &u
Date in short format (as specified by Regional and Language Options in Control Panel) - &d
Date in long format (as specified by Regional and Language Options in Control Panel) - &D
Time (as specified by Regional and Language Options in Control Panel) - &t
Time in 24-hour format - &T
Current page number - &p
Total number of pages - &P
Right-aligned text (following &b) - &b
Centered text (between &b&b) - &b&b
A single ampersand (&) - &&
