does anyone know any humane ways to get rid of possums, besides trapping them. i have two very unfriendly ones hanging around my yard, and one may be pregnant. i would like to just run them off.

They don`t run off. They just get sneakier. The only way I have been able to get rid of them and not have them come back is to exterminate them. I shoot them but you could put out some food with rat poison in it. If you do use poison try to make sure your pets don`t get at it. They will climb your walls and make a home in your attic. I wouldn`t procrastinate it to long. You could hire a professional.

This has been a problem with us ever since we've moved here. My wife though a young one was cute and started feeding the little bugger but, now we can't get rid of it.
I borrowed some live traps and hauled them out to the country. Don't encourage them to stay around, don't feed them, keep dog and cat food inside, they eat your bird feed too. Keep your garbage covered and inside the garage.
