Different animals sleep in different ways. Some animals, like humans, prefer to sleep in one long session. Other animals (dogs, for example) like to sleep in many short bursts. Some sleep at night, while others sleep during the day.

A dream is the experience of envisioned images, sounds, or other sensations during sleep. The events of dreams are often impossible or unlikely to occur in physical reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer. A dream is felt by the humans as they have 6th sense. Animals do not have the 6th sense.

So animals do not experince dreams. Even Chimpanzee which is supposed to be nearest to man also does not dream. -

All animals dream. Researchers Dr. Matthew Wilson and Kenway Louie at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology selected four lucky rats. They implanted micro-electrodes into the hippocampus, the region of the brain associated with memory. Then they monitored the firing patterns of the neurons hooked up to micro-electrodes.
The patterns were the same whether the rat was dreaming about running around on a track or actually running around on a track. In fact, by just looking at the patterns, the scientists could tell whether the creature was dreaming about running or just sitting around. So why do animals dream? Probably to re-live and learn from experience.

The folloowing is the finding of a study done in MIT, which proves that animals do have dreams.
Animals have complex dreams and are able to retain and recall long sequences of events while they are asleep, Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers report for the first time in the Jan. 25 issue of the journal Neuron.

While any pet owner knows that animals seem to dream, and studies show that animals' brains follow the same series of sleeping states as ours do, this is the first time that researchers know what animals are dreaming about.

"No one knew for certain that animals dreamed the way we do, which can involve replaying events or at least components of events that occurred while we were awake," said Matthew Wilson of MIT's Center for Learning and Memory. "We looked at the firing patterns of a collection of individual cells to determine the content of rats' dreams. We know that they are in fact dreaming and their dreams are connected to actual experiences."

1. Actually, I have observed one of my cats, Percy, dream.

2. At first, I did not understand what he was doing — it was actual physical active participation in his dream.

3. I noticed that he would lick his tongue out back & forth, as when he eats from his food dish, then he would chew in the dream.

4. My little pal was having a dream about eating, hopefully, his favorite meal. I really got a kick out of it.

Good Luck and Warm Wishes.

Dreams are come through experience.... and experience is derived via the Breath of Life.....

According to Scripture, animals have breath of life... so too does the creatures of the sea....

Anything, therefore, that has breath of life, is given to dreams....
