I am a Filipino and i have been following up all those things in congress....
Honest opinion....Con *** (Constituent Assembly) in not yet the right time now. they need to study it further... well... honestly most of the congressmen who wants ConAss are those in their last term or they cant run for another office anymore... or some of them lost their popularity that they knew they will not win this coming May Elections.... so they want to ratify the constitution of the Philippines so that they will have another "term"....... well its the Administration People, including the President, who really wants it..... well.... they (Administration) is also loosing it popularity on people... that is why they need it RIGHT NOW!!!!
well.. if you really analyze it all.... you can sum it up with the word POWER.

I know that I am not a Filipino but I do live in the Philippines and I am always talking to the locals. The serious opinion from most of the Filipinos around my place that it is wrong, they are all blaming Arroyo and her continuous tactics to take control of the government long term starting with the Cha Cha and moving into extra Judicial killings

ConAss or constituent assembly , its like giving the "house of representatives" a permission to change the constitution, specifically the form of government.
my reaction: this act of allowing them to change it is not agreeable because they are only doing so for personal reasons not for economic reasons that they always says.
i think people has the right to vote if they will be allowed to do such acts than decide for themselves.

Nothing will happen if they change the system of government because it will still be the same monkeys and crocodiles who will still be in office.
How can the politicians effect change when they themselves do not want to change. Just remember one thing: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN HONEST POLITICIAN.
and finally....maybe this call to change the system of government is JDV's way of getting the title of prime minister since he can never be and will never be addressed as Mr. President.

The 'House' will convenene, there will be lots of debates and small scale demostrations (drama) and nothing happens after that.....
COZ no one cares .....
everyone will be loading their cell phones as usual and sending text messages, watching TV and that damned %#$#$^&$%& wow wow wee and gameshows again.........!!!!
