My Boss is visiting Paris and he wants me to be with him when he attends the meeting. I initially agreed but when i found that I'll be in the same hotel room I got little concerned. Should I go ahead as planned?

Not unless you are agreeable to providing the services he expects, and he expects to pay what you want for those services.

OF COURSE NOT, DUMMIE, BOSS AND EMPLOYEE DO NOT SHARE HOTEL ROOMS ON LEGITIMATE BUSINESS TRIPS. This is a monkey business trip for Bozo the Boss; and Dumb Dora if you go.

Well, you can probably discuss this with him. If he invited you to go to Paris with him, you must be somewhat close(plutonically). If you feel the accomadations are too personal, tell him that you will be willing to go if you had your own room. Offer to pay for half or all of the room and explain that in the end it will be better this way. If by chance something does end up happening in the city of romance, let it happen on it's own and not because you were in the same room.

Def. not a good thing if your boss asks you to share a hotel room with him in france, that's so far from professional. Unless you like the guy i wouldnt suggest going, it might turn weird

I need more input on your part. Like first thigs first are either of you married? And secondly what kind of relationship do you and your boss have. And third are you interested in having more with your boss provided you as well as he are not married. If either of you have a significant other I say request a seperate room. If he wants you to go he will accomidate you.

It is not normal that he expects you to share a hotel room with him. You should talk to him and insist on getting a separate room and keeping things professional or you won't go.

Generally no problem, but his room is different story. If you are brave enough, just tell him clearly to have a separate room, as this this the normal thing, you are not asking for something!

Ok, all the answers were fine, but let me ask you something: sharing the same room with him would be that bad?

I mean, maybe he's trying to seduce you, but maybe he really likes you.

I'm just saying this because it happened to me once. There was this guy and he was always inviting me to take part in projects he was running, till one day he confessed he was interested not only in my work, but also in me. I felt awkward at first, but in the end I realised he really liked me and really liked my job too. It was one of the best relationships I ever had.

O.K. I play along. If his company is paying for him to go to France, and he truly needs a assistant to go with him, they can afford to book you a separate room. Today, almost anything an assistant could do for him, he can do for himself on the Internet or cell phone.

No if you don't want to be see as agreeing with having sex with him.
Everybody in the hotel will think you are lovers.
And he will probably try to just be that!
Meanwhile it is difficult for me to think you could be so naive not to know that...
