I think they can technically can and I think they could.

P.S. I'm an Aussie asking.

I've been asking the same question myself as a Steelers fan... And I really believe that we have a chance still. Of course we will have to win out, but it seems that all other teams in the hunt are beginning to falter. Personally, I don't think that we ever should have been in this situation - we have all the talent it takes to make it back to the Super Bowl, but the turnovers killed us. Hopefully Willie Parker will give them a little bit of a jumpstart. By the way - I think it's great that an Aussie is getting into football.

No disrespect but the Steelers have more problems than just worrying about the Playoffs, which they wont make. They have been so bad this year and even if they won out the rest of the way Cincinnati and the Jags are playing great and the Jets have that easy schedule which they should win out. They should just focus on finishing the season with the least amount of embarrasment as they can so why are many fans still thinking playoffs, and I dont mean every fan. Why are Steelers fans getting their hopes up for nothing. If they were in the NFC then they might make it but come on people, every single team that either has a 8-5 or 7-6 record would have to lose all or almost all their games and then the Steelers have to somehow become a team that they are not, and start to play perfect. I have a better chance of winning a 10 million dollar lottery than the Steelers making it to the playoffs.

Yeah they still have an outside shot. It will require alot of luck BUT they can do it. I don't think they will though, I am a Steelers fan but I think that loss against Baltimore will end up being where they end up out. Oh you could call it one of the other losses because what I am saying is 9 wins wouldn't be enough. Actually the loss to Jacksonville will proably be what does them in the most. I don't see Denver ending better then 8-8 so they won't be a factor. Chiefs may kill their chances though. They win out and Steelers will be behind them. Hardest game they have left may be Jacksonville. I see emotion this week in the late Sunday game against the Chargers. Even with it in San Diego I think they play like they have something to prove. Denver COULD win 2 but if they lose this week against Arizona they are screwed, the Bengals are the next game. Bengals got the Colts so I see them losing that which allows the Steelers the chance. So we got the Jets who have 7 wins and a decent chance to win out. Then I think the Jags take the other since they are at 8 wins already. Although the Steelers can watch scoreboards and HOPE I think 10 will be the magic number.

Not a chance in hell. They will lose to Baltimore again next week and that it will be the end of that! Ravens sweep this year baby!!!!!! They may lose to Cincy too. Steelers are not what they use to be. They beat up on a sorry Cleveland team, hardly impressive!

They are still mathematically in it. They are going to have to win out and hope that some other teams lose. If they do make it to the post-season, I don't believe they are destined to go very far. The AFC has some very good teams this year.

Are all aussies as dumb as you? Of course they wont!! They arent even one of the teams in contention....half the nfl is "technically" still alive for a playoff spot, doesnt mean that they have a real chance though.

they are mathmatically alive but it essentially would take them getting on a consistent roll and some teams seeded above them to lose. their conference (the a.f.c.) is pretty competitive this season so that is highly unlikely.

poor steelers have to watch from home come playoff time barring a miracle for them. here's hoping it won't happen.

I think if they win out and Indy beats Cincy they could slide in. But I will be happy if they beat Cincy Dec. 31st.

I'm sure that as NFL members, they'll have no problems obtaining good tickets to see the game.
