Why is that? Where are all the smart, witty, caring gay people that used to frequent Yahoo! Answers????

For the past week or so I've noticed a sharp decline in the maturity of questions asked (and questions answered) in Yahoo! Answers.

Ashley, a lot are still here, but maybe they are just a little bit busier due to the holidays? And, yes, maybe there are more of the bashing questions but we are just RAMO-ing those. But yes, I haven't seen any of the RAMO promoters here recently, especially 'just ine', so I hope she hasn't given up on us here.
Also BTW you and me, what do you keep doing that gets you suspended??? I haven't noticed much of anything here that you say or do to even get you reported!

Hi Ashley. The gay bashings from participants like Doris/Olga have always been consistent but now they seem to have gotten worse. It's as though she developed a following since there are more hateful Trolls in our section than ever before. For this reason a lot of the regulars don't appear as often as they used to. I think also, most of the sincere participants feel their questions are going to be mocked by those bigots so they don't even bother asking advise or sharing opions about sensitive issues anymore. I too would like to see this group go back to the insightful and informative way it was when I first entered, when participants overlooked the hatemongers and helped each other resolve issues. Then we can see intelligent questions again.

Yes, I have noticed. You have to be intelligent to ask an intelligent question. Not like the people who ask the same question that someone asked 20 seconds ago. It gets old after a while, reading the same questions over and over. Its not like our answers are going to change just because somebody different asks the same boring question.

You have to remember that some people are here for just the points. Some people are not answering questions well or asking good questions because they’re not gay to begin with or have some fantasy they’re trying to fulfill on this site.

Tell me about it. This section used to be fun a couple of months ago but it seems like the regulars have gone away. I am getting bored with this site myself and rarely answer questions anymore.
Typical ones asked lately are: Do you support Gay Marrage? Why do girls shave their beavers? How do I know I'm gay? blah blah, blah, over and over again.

Yeah I haven't been here too long but it's become a fun game for some fundies to come in here and try to get everyone pissed.
I'm guilty of answering some of the fundies, but I'm trying not to anymore because if they don't get any responses to their questions they'll go away.
As the others here have been saying RAMO- report abuse move on. If we all did that it just might work.

No, you are right, babe - this area is now the domain of psychos, closet jobs, and rabid christian extremists. Maybe we should ask Yahoo to set up a CHRISTIAN NUTTERS section, and then WE (smart, witty, caring, gay people)can all meet up on that one.

I know. I'm a straight chick with alot of gay friends and I used to enjoy this category because alot of the questions were pretty interesting. Lately it seems there's alot of posts that are just plain stupid and a hell of alot of traffic from homophobic attention whores. I'm getting awfully tired of dredging through all the crap just to find the handful of legitimate questions that are worth answering.

this is basically the bash the gays section of Q&A. Takes a lot of nerve to ask any questions here; let alone expect a decent caring answer out of a majority of the people who enjoy answering GAY Q&A questions. Most are closet cases, Unfortunate thing is that most people who bash and are closet cases, don't even know it YET. But someday.....somewhere.....when you least expect it....SMILE~
