7.30am with the kids, to pick husband up for work. Will be hard as he leaves for work at 9.30pm. Before that time, have to get a 6 & 2 year olds to bed & asleep so presents can be left downstairs. Last year when he was working again, we were getting pressies from cupboard in bedroom, after already doing 3 trips downstairs, my eldest son sneaked out of his bedroom at 8.30pm (we thought he was asleep) next thing he came running upstairs in our bedroom saying santa had been. We didnt know what to do.............just said that they were our presents not his. He eventually went back to sleep.

Will have to go downstairs with kids, not let them go in the living room, to pick husband up, then home together to open pressies. When he is not working (he is a support worker) on christmas eve, we usually get up at 6am.

We havent worked it out yet, but we will have to get up at a certain time to get the turkey on and get everything ready as we have guests coming. Also we like to have a special breakfast with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and bucks fizz!

We will work it out backwards - getting up the latest we can but still leaving enough time to get everything done.

We won't have got to bed early because we go to Midnight Mass.
