In today's context: some words that are supposed to reinforce egalitarian outlook towards human rights, bring alive some bad images and many people aren't too enthused to take mainly these words kindly: multiculturalism, globalization, liberalism, feminism etc.

Even though the purpose of these terminology was RIGHT, why do people don't like to identify with it anymore.

Multiculturalism is actually a well respected term in Canada. Canadians actually do tend to think of our country as pluralistic and multicultural. For the most part we wish to enjoy and celebrate the unique character of all the cultures who make up our population. There are probably exceptions - individuals who are not on the same page with the majority - but I do no think they are really very representative of the popular view. Likewise we actually have a Liberal party who are currently a few percent more popular than the currently elected Conservatives. Feminism is currently an issue that has been spotlighted since the Conservatives are trying to cut the spending on various women's rights organizations. Globalization on the other hand has been synonymous with the agenda of multinational corporations which only act in their own self interest to the detriment of any minority group (including many nations).
Perhaps the terms have become changed in many other countries through the conceptual erosion effects of propaganda and intentional misuse in media like newspapers and television.
