Kind of lends credence to the whole 'uneducated Americans' thing, doesn't it?

The people that you're talking about are sheep, plain and simple. Bush could take a dump in these people's hats, and they would simply put it back on and say, "Thanks, it fits better!"

These people view the world (particularly Iraq) as a giant XBox game, where when you run out of lives, you can just press 'reset', and start over again. Guess what, sheep? That's not how this works! Visit your local recruiters office, they'll be glad to show you first hand!

Idolize would be incorrect - the correct term is respect.

Respect is a term representing morals and values which 2/3 of the country is lacking in. I'm glad to be in the minority!

You will realize why, in about 5-6 years or so.
Bush will be known as one of the greatest presidents.

Because one third of the American public realize that we are long overdue to confront radical IslamoFacists of the middle east. In 1979 they took our hostages fro 444 days. In the early 80's they killed our Marines in Beruit. In 1985 if my date is correct, they killed our citizens on the Achilles Lauro. Several times they killed our passangers onboard airplanes both headed from and headed to the middle east. From 1980 untill 1988 we helped them (the Mujjahadin) in Afganastan. In 1991we helped them from the aggressions of Saddam. On October 12,2000 they attacked the USS COLE (DDG67) killing our sailors. On 9/11/2001 they attacked us in our homeland. It was only at this time that we , the United States of America, regained our resolve and took up arms again to defend ourselves. It was President Bush who voiced the American thought that enough was enough and it was time to use the might of the American Military to strike back at those who have been striking us for over 20 years. That is why we idolize Bush.

Because they believe he is right. Opinions do not have to be rational and they do not have to be explained. You may disagree with their position, but yours is also just an opinion. The simple fact is that what you consider acceptable may be different than what I consider acceptable, neither of us would be right or wrong because as stated this is opinion not necessarily fact. In the end history will judge the ultimate success or failure of the Bush administration as a whole. This will done by examining facts and events, not the political ideology of pundits on either side.

I wouldn't use the word "idolize", and neither would you if you knew what you were talking about.

Dunno, Why do people do anything? thank God you are free to think what ever you like in this country as long as it doesn't infringe on my right to think what ever i like and so on.

Whew just think if we lived somewhere where we all HAD to idolize a despot.
That would really be a drag.
Whats that evil dictator in N. Korea's name?
Kim on the pot or something like that.
