I think u r superstitious person.Its a common problem with Indians.Just leave that superstitious beleifs n go to manali on 30 Dec.Nothing will happen.

Its OK thats col to have journey. But it takes 12hrs for that. Have a Nice journey.

in night it is not good.u can go in train and see the beuties of nature
(if it is with ur girl friend it is the best way)
