the 77-79 years can never be relived, it was a couple of years of fun, people who try to relive it are naff, the songs are all about love there is no anarchy in the lyric, you have really rattled me, gonna put Crass, the feeding of the 5000 on, good and loud........what ever happened to them, poly styreen from X-ray specs, Menace, stiff little fingers singing "johnny was" where has it gone, they where the best years ever, can never be again

It's not dead. It has just gone down, like teenage pants. Gotta love all the butt cracks, strings and boxers. Too bad kids can no longer understand the meaning of underwear! I would rather look at pink hair than pink crack!!

I remember the punk scene being really huge in London in the mid 1980's. I was amazed at all the creative hair and clothing when I visited.

punk can be a state of mind or an accessory, it was never a movement as some would have you believe. punk's alive; the music just isn't very good

It depends where you live, in general punk has died, but where I live there are still loads of them.
