Hi Folks,
Could someone give me some pointers?
I have a 2 year old Vokera combi boiler and recently got a leak upstairs fixed.
I now notice that my hot water pressure is particularly poor both upstairs and down (the boiler is downstairs next to the tap). Also when I run the hot water tap the boiler makes a noise that I didn't really notice before.. any ideas?
- I'm sure the pressure problems started upstairs (in the bathroom) and have got worse / moved downstairs, although I could be wrong!

Can I check / clear the trapped air in the boiler myself?

Is this a water heater or boiler or combination/both? it sounds like, if a water heater, it needs flushing and cleaning. a boiler it sounds like low pressure.
This might work. Turn the unit off. Turn the water to the house off, then the water to the tank, from the well/water supply. Through he drain spigot, there should be a drain valve or valve under the supply tank. Drain this, until the tank is empty. Close the valve. Then open the valve to the tank from the water supply. the tank should fill to about one third and, about (30) pounds. Although mine is new type and goes to 60. May vary. I have a bladder in mine.
Then open the tank to the house, you may have to open and bleed the radiators or base units.
A simple water heater, follow through the same way but, open the flush valve and turn the water supply on, on and off, to flush the sand out, use a garden hose and the floor drain. Start the unit up again.

Check the system pressure should about 1.5 bar.If too low boiler can run noisy though this would not effect outlet pressure. Check cold water inlet tap to boiler is fully open. If you are in a very hard water area the secondary heat exchanger may be scaled up. That would reduce pressure & flow from taps, bad news if so.

it sounds like you have air trapped in the boiler. call the guy that "fixed" it for you and have him finish the work. he didn't finish the job if he created another.

I had the same problem and corrected it by bleeding the air from lines.
