A camera's mega pixel determines picture quality and how large it can be expanded without distortion. The higher the MP the more space required on a memory card to store it. The 6MP camera would provide better quality images than the 2MP camera, but require more storage space.

MP is the number of pixels (by million) a picture contains. The more pixels, the more you can zoom and have a bigger picture without seeing any pixels(which are actually the small squares u c when u zoom a lot in the picture). 2 MP is good for a mobile phone camera. A good individual camera is between 4 MP and 10 MP (or even more)
