Sometimes I do feel like it's a fad, but it makes no sense why someone would fake it since there is still a lot of social stigma attached to being homosexual. For the most part, I think people feel less threatened by homophobia lately and feel like it's okay to come out. I think many more people are gay than actually admit to it or accept it, only because of the reactions they may get from their peers. The emergence of gay people on tv has made it kind of cool to be gay I suppose, and for girls, being bisexual or a lesbian gets you a lot of attention because of how it is portrayed in pornography.

I don't know. I really didn't notice that. I know when I was in high school in the mid 90s, there was a fad where suddenly all the girls were saying they were bi. I don't know where it started. I think they though it added to their artsy, mysterious and edgy style. It was the cool thing to say at the time.
If you think being gay is a fad, I think it may be that more people are comfortable coming out these days than in the past. That's all.

Yes, i beileve that being gay/lesbian is a fad these days and i think that it's a slap in the face for the true gay people that just want to be left alone and not to be paraded around and throwing their gayness in everybody's faces. It's rude!

Is it obtainable that some all of us is adopting the function of being gay because of the fact they like the assumption of a. being area of a team, or b. getting specific scientific care or c. being waiting to shelter "rights" they experience that they are being "denied" (may well be because of the fact they like something to protest). or all the above; of direction. actual gay human beings, people who have been born with a particular sexual decision deserve all of those issues, besides the undeniable fact that it quite is obtainable somebody who isn't gay to handle that function for different motives isn't out of the realm of threat. if so i might say it quite is quite "fad like". i'm not making a judgement call, basically asserting its interior the realm of threat.

I really do not think it is a fad,I just think humans since the beginning of time, have had feelings for the same sex, it is just that in today's society, these feelings are more acceptable, and people are more likely to act on them.

for some people, it is a fad, aminly because it is soemthing alternative and people like to feel like they are different than others. But because so many people are in support for gay marriage and whatnot, they feel like they will be supported

more people are being them selves and choosing to live their lives their way.As the children of gay couples grow into adult hood being gay may not seem like an alternative lifestyle to them which opens up more relationship possibilities to them. It's like if a child has one parent of a different race or culture, that opens up the child's eyes and opportunities beyond the one culture they may have lived with just one cultural experience.

What? Are straight people afraid of being outnumbered or something? lol
It's more acceptable these days, so people who have always been gay are coming out of the closet.
