Strange as this question seems it came up at work and it has really divided people, particularly along the gender divide. So I want to put the question to the wider public. Here's the situation:
If you had no other option, and you HAD to have money but all you have to trade is your body would you rather a) sell an organ b) work temporarily as a prostitute?
Which option would you choose and why?

Ok if I sold an organ - a kidney for example then in 10 years time my other kidney might go and I would be dead. If I sold an eye and in 10-20 years I went blind in the other I could be blind, the point is selling organs is too permanent and could bring me closer to death.
If I was a prositute for a few weeks - 6 months and could get brothel work or regulars I would choose prostitution. I would choose prosititution because its less intrusive to my healh. I can always refuse to sleep with someone if I dont like them and I can have some control on what happens as a sex worker. Selling an organ I have no control on what happens next and no say I have just sold an organ where as its very permanent and damaging to my health and selling my body is not that permanent and not that damaging to my health if I am careful. Hope I have answered the question - my what do you guys drink in your lunch break - is it legal??

I'd say prostitution since you didn't specify the details. I would be willing to work in more of a whorehouse setting rather then as a streetwalker out at night risking my life. I have a lot of friends who work in the sex industry as dominatrices and they are in a very safe environment where clients are screened. They are providing a sexual service for people for money so I consider that a form of prostitution. I'd much rather do that than sell an organ! What if I sell a kidney but someday my remaining kidney fails? It's too risky.

I think as a male I would say sex trade but being greedy i would sell a kidney aswell for the extra cash just to make sure I could give up pimping my self out a little quicker.

I would do anything I had to, if push came to shove, to feed my children.
Gives you an insight into why poorer countries live like they do eh? In some places they break the bones of their children at birth so they become disfigured, they can beg then and have a better chance of survival.
Humans, if they are honest, will do anything they have to. The world is going **** up, and the powers that be know it. They are introducing measures of control simply because they know that humans will return to animal behaviour to survive.

it would have to be prostitution. selling an organ will only get you so far where as your body you can sell again and again.

I'd sell an organ, definitely. Hell, I'd sell one today if i'd get a decent amount of money for it.
I don't think I could sell my *** though. Maybe I could service rich businesswomen... Not sure.
