I think it was is because they have the dangerous aura around them. Those three characters are always composed and show little or no emotion at all, which make them look really cool and intimidating.
For Sasuke, I believe he was not really a bad guy. The torture his brother made him go through changed his personality. Since Sasuke idolized his brother, what he says to him caused him to become who he was now. If Itachi did not kill the clan, Sasuke's personality will greatly be affected.
For Itachi, well, he is a very complex character. His appearance is really what makes him popular. From his eyes to the clothes he wore, it suits his personality. His character is very masculine, and his long hair and Sharingan eyes added to that. Also included was his strength, which limitation is still unknown. But it was said he could par with the Sannin. I think that was what made him popular.
For Orochimaru, he is dark and creepy. And he is composed and only emit dark aura. I kind of like him for that, but I still gets scared whenever I see him. He is intimidating and maybe his strength added points too.

Sasuke aint a bad guy really. Dispite what he has done later on which would anger many fans. In his somewhat defense. He's desperate to get the power that he needs to kill his brother.
Itachi just might be misunderstood as well. But so far, there isnt any real full explanation on why he slaughtered his tribe. So it is assumed that he is indeed a bad guy. And my guess on why the girls go goo goo for him is because he has a slight bishi look that they crave for. Not as bishi as Sesshomaru though. But pretty enough to attract the fangirls still.
Now Orochimaru, I dont get the reason with him. But then again, im a guy. So im sure a fellow fangirl might explain a reason with him.

This is d truth...the best answed is correct but brief...most probably wrong.After sasuke had killed itachi in epiode 138 I think...He further decided to find oit why itachi had killed the uchiha clan in detail..when he found out that he was not killing the uchiha clan with hate but for the village..or also after he knew Madara was alive.Then he understood the importance for itachi to destroy the clan.He understood he had been going the wrong path...wrong path in the darkness..and that is why he kill Orochimaru sasyin..'I am going to the battlefield.I won't let the village or my brother be wasted.',as it the fifth world war going on...n he is talkin about the leaf village. So,this is why he kills orochimaru. After the fight he says to become hokage n all..thats up to a different level... SO PLEASE VOTE MY ANSWER AS THE BEST ANSWER...PLEASE..THE BEST ANSWER IS COMPLETELY WRONG..I HAVE READ THE MANGA.. PLEASE..;-)

I dont know about orochimaru.. but the bad guys are almost always deliciously hot.. and cool.. and dangerous.. and gorgeous!
