Ask her for a few ideas! I always play it safe doing it that way. Also, you can buy a little something else as a suprize, but why not get her one of the things she could really want and use.

Really depends on what your girlfriend likes! And how long you have been going out with her for. Think out of the circle. If you have not been going out with her for long then how about a CD or DVD that she has mentioned she wanted if you want to be more personal. We love handbag stuff (well I do) a really nice handbag mirror there are some really nice ones in the silver department of House of Fasier or Fenwicks not too expensive! Photo frames Wh Smith have really nice selection. If you have been going out a long time the presents have to be bigger!!! Currys electricals for Ipods, Tom Tom(satelite naviation), Really nice cushions that match her room! Buy things she would not usually buy for herself look at gift selection boxes. Good luck!

Think about what her interests are, what her main interest is, and has she mentioned anything that she would really love to have since you've known her that she feels she would never have?
for example, if you go shopping with her, has she said, 'oh I really love that dress or shoes' Or is there a new perfume she would like to try, or has she remarked about a place she would like to visit?
dependant on how much money you want to spend, you could take her to a romantic getaway for a weekend.
But whatever you get her, give her a single red rose also with a beautiful card.

The diamond is a good choose.
If you buy a diamond for your girlfriend for Christmas and make her happy, maybe she will marry you.
If you have no good enough money to buy a diamond, you could buy a precious stone to instead.

here are some guidelines for you man hope it will help
1. buy a gift that are thought to be priceless and timeless
2. make sure that the one your buying to be will be memorable and unique.
3. make sure also that the gift your buying has something to do with her like if she wants some music you could buy her something musicaly related. you know what i mean........
4. make sure the one your buying is worth to her...
or simply put it this way... shel like it ah no... shell love it...
5. make sure your going to ask your girlfriend first what are her likes and dislikes (you should have thought it about going to ask her a few weeks or maybe months about this trick)
6. buy a gift that is new to her....
what i mean is buy something that she have not yet(sorry for my grammar)
something she doesnt have(ah finally)

Jewelry is always great. Whatever you do, please don't buy her the following. 2 years ago, my husband bought me this ugly 1972 nightgown that looked like something my aunt used to wear when she cooked fried chicken. I showed my sister and she laughed for 10 minutes. So if you are afraid of your taste in clothes, don't buy them! LOL
