It shows how desperate the Americans are to find a face-saving way out of Iraq, but it can't be done.Bush sent his troops into a dead-end tunnel, the only way out is to go back the way they came in,with their tails between their legs.Remember Vietnam?

As a matter of fact The Study Group was RIGHT - BECAUSE no Weapons of Mass Destruction were found in Iraq...
The lies about those non-existant weapons were Bush's and Bliar's - which this report makes abundantly clear... And which is why Bush and Bliar are now doing their damndest to pretend the Study Group never even happened...!!!

They're just hanging on, hoping that all debate about the Study Group's findings will evaporate over the Christmas break...

The Iraq Study Group consists of "has been" politicians most in their 80's and in particular Baker who with Bush Senior started the whole mess in Iraq in 1991 + sanctions.
It seems that Iraq has had more than enough interference by ill informed western politicians and are better capable to solve the problem themselves.
Talibani has already rejected the plan.
This seems like the beginning of a WAY OUT of the political mess for GWB who will eventually follow and blame the group plan as fail it will.
The Group consists so many retired politicians no one can be blamed.

The report is apparently being ignored. It covered too many bases and was nothing more than a political side show. We need to pull out or kick butt. One or the other. Frankly I prefer the Kick their butts so bad they hide under their turbans. Starting with Iran which is the real trouble maker in the Middle East.
Ian - As for the Taliban I really don't think anyone in America really cares what those little girls think. Anyone that abuses women and children then hides behind them when it is time to fight, their opinion does not matter to us.
Michael K-As for remember the Vietnam war? Yes I do and we were not defeated there. The French were, it was their Army that surrendered (as usual) American forces never surrendered but were pulled out by chicken **** politicians and liberal college students that were afraid someone might ask them to do something more dangerous than drink out of a bong. As a matter of fact American soldiers controlled most of the country and inflicted ten times the causalities on North Vietnam as the Americans suffered And that is by North Vietnam's statistics!

What is there to agree with? The study group made conclusions about what we should do based on hugely unlikely scenarios like convincing Iran to stop funding and supporting shiite mitlitias.

The study group was pointless and will be quickly forgotten.

The Iraq Study Group was erroneous because there were no weapons of mass destruction that were found in Iraq.

We don.t have to agree since we are outsiders.
IIt,s the people of Iraq flashing the red card in blowing the whistle.
We just watch like spectators and see who win the games.
If it's a draw then wait for replay.

Are you serious?

I cannot speak for everyone else out there, but I put as much stock in the ISG report as I do in someone who is comatose with zero brain function.

Anytime something like this is produced by someone who is currently in the employ of saudi arabia, this should send up all kinds of red flags to anyone with even minimal intelligence. Baker is currently getting paid to represent the kingdom of saudi arabia and further their agenda.

As far as the first answer to this question, you need to look beyond the communist news network (cnn). WMD's were actually found in iraq, but this was buried by the liberal leftist extremist media. The USA today did print this report once, buried far from the front page, and never spoke about it again. I suppose you honestly believe that the chemical and biological weapons that saddam used in the past against the kurds magically vanished like a fart in the wind, eh? Or perhaps he suddenly developed a conscience and got rid of them when he turned over a new leaf and decided to stop putting people into mass graves. Mindless!

Do you honestly believe that if we pull out of the middle east that all will be well? Let me tell you what will happen, and what liberal extremists will also try to blame on Bush:
Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea and others will continue to develop their nuclear arsenals and other WMD's. Once they have sufficiently built up their war machines while we sit idly by, they will strike and kill tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans. When the USA finally decides to take action against the hitlers in head scarves, the war will be a thousand times larger than it is now, and we will be fighting for our lives and our very existence. Wake up!

I am inclined to believe that their recommendations should be at least considered by congress since Bush rejected them
