"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
It is the only song you could listen to in a car with people from all walks of life and age groups and NO ONE would be upset.

J.S. Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" -- it's an incredibly beautiful, fluid piece of music that's simultaneously soothing and uplifting. It's beautiful whether it's performed with the choral vocals or as a strictly instrumental piece, and it's a pleasure to perform if you're part of an orchestra. It's stood the test of time and is still a widely recognized piece of music hundreds of years after it first debuted.

properly, right here, we've the question of "what's a 'golden age'?". I for one, have not got any situation with calling the 70's the 'golden age', by using fact I see it as being diverse from the "appropriate". I see a golden age as style of the 'classic foundation' (i could draw a assessment to the Cambrian Explosion, yet I understand that no longer everybody could understand what i replaced into announcing). So, definite, the 1970's have been undeniably 'classic', yet i do no longer think of they have been the "appropriate" BQ: submit-metallic BQ2: Isis BQ3: Pelican - 'the fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw' BQ4: stressful. i will flow with Pelican's "March into the sea", for now. BQ5: The crescendo beginning approximately 21 minutes into Pig Destroyer's "Natasha". properly, no, i did no longer advise it replaced into inferior. Many geologists will inform you that the Cambrian era replaced into the main "thrilling" era in geological historic previous. it somewhat is merely the sons and daughters who think of the Mesozoic replaced into cooler a cooler era than the Paleozoic. i'm of the opinion that music is a hundred% subjective, and so the undeniable fact that i could desire the 00's is by no potential announcing that somebody who likes the different era of music is "incorrect".

Man could you ask anything more subjective than this? You'd get thousands of differing opinions. I honestly couldn't even narrow it down to 100 songs. I'm a fan of all types of music, and to quantify it would be impossible.
I'll give it a shot though (and I know, I'll be second guessing it by the time I hit enter), by genre:
Rock: Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen).
Metal: Stairway to Heaven (Led Zepplin)
Rap: Stan (Eminem) I know I'm going to catch hell for this one.
Hair band: Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses)
These are really my main interest groups, I don't feel qualified to answer any others...although some people may question if I were qualified to answer any of the above LOL.

Karl Jenkins, "Adiemus". This is a new age song, written by Jenkins in a non-existent language. He created the language specifically to fit the song, to compliment its sounds. It is a "new age" song and is so powerfully mystical without being sappy or slow, beautiful, without being romantic and catchy, without losing its depth that I really hope if you've never heard it, you will now.
Note: Adiemus was written by Karl Jenkins who also wrote the famous diamond jewelers jingle (song written for a commercial on television) that everybody went nuts about decades ago. (The man's shadow handing the girl the ring and only the diamond sparkles on the black wall).... that's the same composer.

I would have to say something that builds you up and lets you down gently, I am thinking along the lines of Henry Mancini's work. I prefer Rock, Alternative, classic, new, but I can appreciate classical also. I agree with dude up there who answered Ode to Joy, it's awesome too!
I also cannot get enough of "unbreak my heart" I love that song!

God thats a hard question to answer and i hate you for aking it. :)
I love so much music its insane.
But, it really depends on who you ask. And in my opinion it would probably the Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I just really, really, really really love that song. Its the only song that has ever even made me come close to crying. And I feel a great song is one that evokes any strong human emotion. so yeah.

One would have to say Blues, because all music branched from that type of music. Blues started it all.
But I think Rock 'n Roll is the best genre, because all rock 'n roll is upbeat and catchy. Its party music, that is why they invented it. It isn't meant to be serious; it is just there for people to listen to and have fun.
