Why do you?

I'm convinced that either by divine intention of masterful design our system of government works with a thickheaded majority. Not very knowledgeable but very vocal and often obstinate. Which I think would account for provisions like checks and balances, the electoral college, and representative democracy. just to name a few.

So i really don't think it matters if many American fail to understand radical Islam. I don't think the founding fathers expected that the majority of citizens would have much understanding of anything in the world around them.

I think the discourse is important none the less however inane it may seem.

It isn't a matter of not being able to decypher the Quran in Arabic.

It is in the actions that the Muslims are taking. I don't need to read the Quran to tell me that strapping bombs on to cause mass casualties is wrong. I don't need to be able to read the Quran in Arabic to tell me that cutting a persons head off is wrong.

I can SEE what is happening. The proof of how misguided, and morally wrong those who practice Radical Islam are is right in front of all of us. Some of you folks have a real problem.

I don't need to try and understand Radical Islam like it is some unjustly misunderstood religion.

I'm close-minded? Who is close-minded when it comes to what is happening and to whom around the world.

Radical Islam is very hard to study because Muslims themselves had a hard time on how to categorize them whether or not to tolerate them in their ranks.

What is there to "understand"? Radical Islam is a cancer that needs to be removed. By that I mean any group that enjoys killing so much deserves no respect or understanding.

It sure is a good thing that Islam is a religion of peace! Who knows what the Middle Eastern barbarians would do without the civilizing influence of Islam?????

For starters Islam isn't radical, there are sectors in Islam (just like every other religion) that have radical groups. People only choose to believe everything they hear or see on the news which is sad, that just puts everybody else in the same boat as the extremest. when the reality of it is not everybody chooses to be put under that category just for believing in what they wish.

it comes down to lack of information, misinterpreted information and close mindedness.

I do not see many Americans "understanding" radical Islam...They fear and hate it and they are right to do so.

And why do so many americans Dont understand radical christianity(gwb),or radical jewish(israelies)?
Their is radicals in all religions, but that never ment that all the Muslims r radicals,or all christians r radicals.
radical ppl r usualy a very small percentage but they r seen and heared more cause of their actions.
Islam is the most peacfull & logic religion,it only calls for fighting when attacked, and thats very logic.

What is so difficult to understand about a bunch of religious radical barbarians who believe that anyone who doesn't believe like they do should be slaughtered?
