Alright so my 5th Wedding Anniversary is coming up and when my Husband and I got married he got me a small wedding ring set and now that he's financially doing a lot better now compared to then he would like to get me a new wedding ring, but my question is

What am I suppose to do with my old one?

The one that I wear now is considerably small but it is the one that the pastor prayed over and presented me with so I'm having troubles deciding just what I should do with it since it means so much to me, I've heard of wearing it around a chain or such but I already have a very special necklace that I wear everyday, and would never consider replacing that so if anyone has any good suggestions please let me know!

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays to all!!!

Maybe a shadowbox where the ring is displayed along with some other wedding momentos?

Funny you should ask this, because my husband and I were just talking about the same thing. my problem is that this ring was the one he picked out for me, and this is the one that he put on my finger on our wedding day, but I've decided if this is what he wants to do, then I will put this set up and give it to our child that gets married first. I wished someone in my family had done something like that for me.

Why don't you just wear the new ring on your other hand? I'm very sentimental so my rings were the only wedding rings I wanted. The new ring could be a symbol of your love but it won't be the same as the rings he gave you when you were struggling and first fell in love.

you could always wear it on the ring finger of the other hand that way you have it with you all the time and you have it close to your heart. You'll also remember how much of a struggle your love has come thru financially.......I'm delighted someone else is in love and happy. Good for you huni, Happy holidays to youto and have a wonderful new year

Don't do it. Keep and wear your original set as your wedding rings. He can get you an extra band to wear with them, or just a dinner ring, if you really want the bling.

I say go renew your vows with the new ring, and pass the other ring on to your daughter if you have one. if not, go have it made into another piece of jewelry you could wear elsewhere and all the time. like a necklace, or a right hand ring

You could simply wear it on another finger or (since that is not generally acceptable) you can have the stone reset in a charm or another setting that is not neccessarily an "engagement band."

you can take the new one and ask a pastor to bless it too,or u can ask a gold smith to help you melt the old one and re mold to a bigger on.the most important thing is that you have already been blessed and God's blessing stays with or without a ring.

Wear it on your right finger.

If it was me, I would keep it on my left since that is what I got married with!...

I'm just the type to be original!

Enjoy your new ring!
