I agree there has been an ongoing war of ideas here in America-- and it's not good for our country.
I don't think Bush can do much to alleviate this circumstance; he's either baselessy hated or blindly followed.
(know baseless-ly is not a word but it's late and I'm still upset that you don't like me--why????? I like you!)

I would speak out about the fact that there are only two parties effectively running the US and try to make people realize that this is unhealthy for our country. In 300 million people there aren't any green party members? No socialists? No christian democrats? No social democrats? Why do these parties exist in every other democracy in the world but we only have two? I would fight the biggest problem the US is facing. Apathy and complacency on the part of the American public. If people would turn off their tv's, stop their binging lifestyles and pay attention to what is going on in the world we wouldn't have half the problems we do. It should be the people who control the government, not the other way around.

What civil war?
When we fight wars amongst ourselves we make no mistakes people die. Should it happen it would take a person of much greater caliber than bush to stop it.
This country has always been locked in constant political and social tension. It's our glue it holds us together and transfixes the world in a way unlike any society in all human history.
Kinda fun don't cha think?

What civil war? Are you referring to the civil war between your X and Y chromosomes? You know, sex reassignment surgery is always a possibility.

The mess is not that simple to get out of. You just can't cut and run. Adding more troops adds to the problem and pulling out adds to the problem. Either way they are going to kill each other and us.
