Hello,

Yes, teachers, tutours the lots. With the turntin system, one you hand in your work through that way, it actually saves your work, as a permanent history, so if next time you use fragments of your old coursework, it will show up, i can't believe it but some people call that cheating...but it's your own work.

I have a very good one, from a University which i do not attend but i can't share that because it might be going. it gives possible cheating sites that you or "someone2 might have plagarized on......

Turnitin.com is the most widely used by school districts. there is ( or at least there used to be ) a fee.
I tell teachers that if they have a questionable paper, to go to google and type in a phrase or tow using quotation maks around what they are questioning. Usually that works pretty well. Takes some time.....but teachers find it quite worthwhile.

Some teachers I work with have had sstudetns peer review the papers and check them.....whew....doesn't that raise some eyebrows when kids see what other kids do?

Yes, so don't even think about plagarizing because all they have to do is go to that site and they will catch you, fail you and maybe even suspend you.

I know there's a program you can download...and you must have a copy of the paper on disk/USB or M Word. Then you can run a check. Try the following site:

www.plagiarism.org

Good luck

At the university that I attend, the professors make you turn in two copies of paper assignments: one hard-copy and the other through turnitin.com
Turnitin.com can tell professors if you got any plagerized anything of of the web.
