Perhaps a better question is why people who are so blatantly insulated and ignorant actually believe anything that comes out of the mouth of the president who has said that: he had no idea 9-11 was going to happen (August 6 memo?); he had no idea Katrina would devastate New Orleans (advised the day before it hit); Brownie's doing a 'heck of a job' (how soon after did Brownie 'step down'???); Rumsfeld the right man for the job (replacement announced two days later); we are winning Iraq (look around); we will stay the course (don't hear too much of that one anymore); Iraq was a central front in the war on terror before the invasion, and so on. These are just some off the top of my head. So one of two things is going on: Bush is deceiving the people, which is despicable, or Bush is deceiving himself. The latter's just plain scary, so let's all hope, for the benefit of the world over the course of the next two years, that it's the former, because the people are finally starting to come around on his game. History will indeed hold him accountable.

I would call it tunnel vision. They have one desire and goal. To discredit our President.

I have yet to find a single comment or quote that President Bush intentionally told to deceive the public. I would say he has made a few mistakes with his comments but I can not find one outright lie. "Mission accomplished"? That was a premature comment but based on what we knew at the time it was not a lie. "WMD"?
If that was a lie then the whole world was lying. Iraq War=Oil? True, but not for the reason the person claims. Our policy was and is to keep the revenues for the oil out of the hands of the terrorists for them to use to finance terrorist activites.. It isn't and has never been for our own personal gain.

Imagine the thumbs down I will get for that answer. The reason is, because there is a huge portion of the population that want to believe he has lied. They continually come back with the same accusations and if you attempt to get them to back up their facts with data and actual proof they either ignore you or call you names.

It isn't that they are inferior. They just can't or won't look at the big picture.

The liberal media has been pounding on Bush for years. It is easy to follow along and jump on when others lead the way. If Al Gore or John Kerry had become president, out country would really be in a mess. The benefit of the dumocrat victory in 2006 is that in 2008 the public will be ready for the Republicans again.

They have no proof. Were you listening when US first started the war in Iraq. Bush said there was nuclear weapons and there wasn't . There's your proof. Better start listening to CNN or reading newspapers.

Please listen to the President speak! We are in Iraq because of 9/11! Fighting the war on terror. Last I checked it was Ben Ladin who was responsible for 9/11. But hey he only speaks the truth right?

Accusations must be supported by evidence. Theories and hearsays are not admissible in court.

I take it to mean that they heard someone else say it, and, lacking personal creativity, just run with it.
