They need to decide whether they want to get of their butts and do some educational upgrading so they can get descent jobs and pay some rent instead of expecting the rest of society to take care of them. Of course there are the addicts who need to be tossed into a manditory rehab program and the mentally ill who need to be treated for their aflictions. All in all, the majority of homeless people are just lazy or have poor work ethics and can't hold a job because the job pays them only if they work. I used to be homeless, and finally gave up insisting that the rest of the world owed me and reallized that I owed myself.

Alot of your homeless are mentally unstable. Others are drug and alcohol cases. Church programs and homeless shelters help. They need their lives restructured and counseling or they'll continue to live out on the street or need to be taken care of.

we can try to donate canned goods, give out toys for homeless children, or have a soup kitchen. the community matters for the whole world

help them get assistance if they want it. but some people chose to homeless, like my uncle john. he is a war vetern and whatever happened over there messed him up big time, he refused to take his retirement check and anything else the gov't offered, so he went homeless. whenever we go ou tto california we see him and take him back to our hotel room so he has a nice place to stay and food to eat. its kind of sad because i miss him, he was like one of my fav. uncles.

get rid of drugs,booze and everything else that is detrimental to
the ills of society but that's just wishful thinking.there will always be a certain element of society that will be labeled indigent and
downtrodden with all kinds of reasons and circumstances,im

First get them off the streets then if they have training find them a job and if not then train them so that they can work,,all most of all help them get and maintain their diginity.i believe a lot of them have none so they feel helpless and hopeless.ive always been a frim believer in "help thee neighbor"
