I'm writing an email. There's a "Save" icon on the toolbar at the top of the page. I click it, but nothing happens. The cursor turns into an hourglass for a second but that's all that happens. What is it saving it to?

it goes straight to your draft folder, waiting for you to finish it and send it eventually

Your text save in draft folder.
you con send in late time

It will be saved in 'drafts' folder so that you can use it at later stage also
